The top layer is polished while the phases are etched down into the metal. This creates a lovely depth and contrast with these different textures. The Moon Phase pendant starts with a Small Crescent Moon at the top of the Earrings. It then charts the Moon's Cycle down to a Full Moon, and back to a Crescent Moon again.
